In this presentation, Dr. Sean Todd features his work and research both on the Antarctic Peninsula as well as his recent trip through the Northwest Passage. Todd’s work in these regions has allowed him to gain a unique and critical perspective both on the interface between wilderness, ecotourism and education, as well as the impacts of climate change.
While he travels to these places as a scientist, Todd is often busy with his camera, he says.
“Science often proves to be an inadequate language to describe the sheer beauty and majesty of the landscape, and so I turn to photography,” Todd says. “My hope is to show some of those images during the presentation.”
