“German Star Workshop” Descriptions of how to fold a three dimensional Froebel star date back to at least the 19th century in Germany. The star, made of four strips of paper, is much like origami in that it uses no glue. However, the star also incorporates weaving and can be made in sizes suitable for everything from earrings to ornaments. Bar Harbor paper artist Sherry Rasmussen will teach the German Star as a part of Acadia Night Sky Festival. The workshop, limited to 10 people, will be held 9 am to 10:30 am Friday, September 26 at ART on West, 78 West Street, Bar Harbor. There is a suggested donation of $10 to support Acadia Night Sky Festival. All supplies are provided. To register, call 207-288-4229.
