Bar Harbor Brass Week
Our 10th ANNIVERSARY is in 2010! It will be a very special week, with extra performances, faculty and Brass Week Alumni!
Bar Harbor Brass Week is an intensive educational and performance experience for select college and high school brass musicians, sponsored by the Mark Woolman Horner Music Education Fund.
A small group of high school, college, and pre-professional participants are selected to form brass choirs and chamber ensembles to prepare for performances in Bar Harbor. Daily activities include rehearsals, coachings, masterclasses, and private lessons--all led by a prestigious faculty of many of the finest brass musicians and educators in the country.
All of this takes place on the campus of the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine. Bar Harbor is one of the East Coast's most popular summer tourist destinations and lies adjacent to Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island.

Monday, June 21 @ 7:00PM: Chamber Groups at the NE Harbor Neighborhood House. Free concert, donations accepted!
Tuesday, June 22 @ 10:30AM: Chamber Groups at Birch Bay Village. Free.
Tuesday, June 22 @ 7:30PM: Faculty Recital, St. Saviour's Episcopal Church in Bar Harbor. Suggested donation $5/10.
Wednesday, June 23 @ 1:00: Chamber Groups at Bar Harbor Inn. Free.
Thursday, June 24 @1:00: "Brass and the Beach" Children's Program at Bar Harbor Library. Free.
Thursday evening, June 24 @ Time TBD, College and High School Chamber Concert, College of the Atlantic Gates Center, Bar Harbor. Free; donations accepted.
