Harbor House Community Service Center is heating up for the 18th Annual Great Harbor House Shoot Out on March 19, 20 & 21. With four divisions of play for girls and boys, this three-day tournament, our mini version of “March Madness”, gives young people the opportunity to compete, excel and develop valuable life lessons and sportsmanship skills.

What began in 1992 with seven boys’ teams of Junior High school-aged players has grown to become “Maine’s biggest post-season basketball tournament.” Division games are played in five gymnasiums: the YMCA in Bar Harbor, MDI High School, Mount Desert Elementary, Trenton Consolidated School, and Southwest Harbor’s Pemetic Elementary School. This year for the 1st time the finals will be played at Pemetic Elementary, right next door to Harbor House.
