Acadia Welcome Center

The Acadia Welcome Center is located at the head of Mount Desert Island in Trenton and is home to the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce. This highly visible and visited location is enhanced by the support of our members who take advantage of the great marketing opportunities. In 2010 over 50,000 visitors are expected make their way through the Welcome Center, all of whom are in search of places to stay, eat, and things to see and do during their stay in Bar Harbor. This makes the Acadia Welcome Center a prime location to advertise and promote your business.

Lodging Phone Bank
The purpose of the Phone Bank is to provide an active form of advertising for our members that immediately calls the customers to action. We want to showcase your property and get visitors directly in touch with you as quickly as possible.

Each member will have a uniformed ad with a picture and three bullet points of their property at the Phone Bank. A visitor would then choose the appropriate option for their taste and dial a three digit number that will put them directly in contact with that property.

Priority Mail Package
Get your brochure included in a priority mail package.
The Chamber mails out over hundreds of priority mail packages to visitors. These packages include a copy of the
Visitor's Guide, information on Acadia National Park, and a promotional DVD.

Ticket Sales Counter
This fully-staffed ticket counter sells tickets to your activities and events, providing a great way to promote your business.

Cost is 10% of each ticket sold at the Acadia Welcome Center.

It is recommended to purchase a backlit, poster, or other display option to enhance your visibility and your services.

Free Opportunity
Showcase Display Table (FREE)
Showcase your products or services with a table set up at the Acadia Welcome Center.

This is a free marketing opportunity based on a first-come, first-served basis. The Chamber will allow one member each day to staff a table in a highly visible and visited spot. Members cannot sell products or services on the premises and can only sign up once a month.
