On the shore of Bass Harbor and close to Acadia National Park, the Bass Harbor Cottages and Country Inn offer a peaceful, waterfront setting for vacation or retreat. Located on the 'quietside’ of Mount Desert Island, our harbor-front cottages have spectacular views of the water from a country-garden setting. The Cottages have decks, queen beds, *fireplaces*, saunas, living areas, full kitchen, *cable*television and can accommodate up to six guests. The Country Inn is reminiscent of a by-gone era and offers comfortable rooms for two with seasonal *air-conditioning*, queen and twin beds, fireplaces, in-room refrigerators, cable, in-room coffee and private baths. Stroll across the lawn as you mosey down to the water's edge - or launch your kayak with the tide! Hear the wind whistle through the trees. Bring your laptop for free wifi. We are close to restaurants, libraries, grocery stores and all of the essentials.
