Acadia Family Center supports and provides resources for recovery on Mount Desert Island, the outer islands and surrounding communities in Maine. We serve the area in an ever broadening continuum of services that encompasses substance use prevention, outreach, treatment and recovery that are rooted in resilience and nurtured by compassion, collaboration and community.
Our outpatient treatment agency is staffed with experienced clinicians offering a variety of services for adolescents, individuals and families who wish to overcome addiction to alcohol, illegal and prescription drugs and related mental health disorders in a supportive and caring environment. Our treatment philosophy is recovery oriented, client centered and strengths based using the both traditional cognitive behavioral therapies and alternative and expressive arts therapies.
