Sponsorship Opportunities

The Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce coordinates several Special Events throughout the year. These events celebrate our community as well as bring many visitors to Bar Harbor each year. All events are promoted through the Bar Harbor Chamber website, www.barharborinfo.com, which received nearly a million unique visitors in 2008. Events are posted on many online event calendars including Maine Office of Tourism, Maine Tourism Association, Yankee Magazine, DownEast Magazine, Boston.com and MPBN. All of these events rely on local business support in order to be successful.

Legacy of the Arts Festival
June 20-27, 2010
The Annual Legacy of the Arts Festival celebrates Bar Harbor's rich history of art, music, Native American culture—and much more. Activities include live music, art exhibits, demonstrations, workshops, meetings with the artists, and historic tours. The week begins with our Annual Art Show on the Village Green. Following the art show will be our traditional Father's Day concert in Agamont Park. The Annual Art Award is presented during the concert to an individual in the community who has contributed to the cultural enrichment of the area.

4th of July Celebration
July 3-4, 2010
Bar Harbor's Independence Day Celebration brings thousands of people to town each year.

Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner
(approx.) late September/early October
The Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce celebrates the season at the Annual Dinner. Awards are presented for Business of the Year, Environmental Leader of the Year, Rising Star Award and the Sustaining Member Business of the Year. The Cadillac Award is presented to a person that epitomizes the virtues of leadership, service, sacrifice and the quest for personal excellence.

Annual Early Bird Sale and Bed Races
November 20, 2010
The Early Bird Sale is from 6-9am. Wearing pajamas earns extra discounts. The bed parade starts at 10am from the Village Green with the races immediately following on Cottage Street. Decorated beds race for prizes, trophies and bragging rights.

Village Holidays and Annual Midnight Madness Sale
December 3, 2010
We welcome Santa to Bar Harbor on the Village Green at 5pm to light the tree. Plenty of activities for adults and children immediately following at the YMCA, including having pictures taken with Santa and crafts. The Annual Midnight Madness Sale is from 8pm-midnight.

First Night – New Year's Eve Celebration
December 31, 2010
A family event with a bonfire and hayrides from 5-7pm and other activities throughout the afternoon and evening.
