The Kedge, built in 1870 and originally known as the Veazie Cottage, has been an integral part of Bar Harbor's history since the very dawn of its fame as a summer resort. It is the oldest surviving summer cottage in the town and renowned for its elegance and charm. A national historic landmark, it is now open for interior tours. The cottage features period antiques and furnishings, fine woodwork, original vintage paintings and prints, and more. So take a memorable trip back to Bar Harbor's Golden Age, and learn the story of the town and cottage.
